Drill Results: SLV028-SLV044

SLV044
Results announced November 25, 2015

SLV044 was collared in the extreme NE edge of the Main Gossan zone, on the edge of gossanous rocks.  It was drilled at azimuth 190° and inclination of -45° to a depth of 83.60 meters.  The hole was collared in weakly gossanous, decalcified pebble conglomerate and sandstone.  The entire hole intersected decalcified, but not silicified lithology and mimics the SLV001 intersect.  Both holes drilled down the decalcification front, but did not cross into the mineralization.  There may also be a parallel NE-trending, high-angle structure in the SLV001 – SLV044 holes, but it is not absolutely clear.  Modeling shows that SLV044 was within 5 meters of mineralization in SLV019.

SLV043
Results announced November 25, 2015

SLV043 was collared in the Gossan Extension drilled at azimuth 255° and inclination of -50° to a depth of 79.15 meters.  The hole was designed to cross the high-angle fault and enter the Main Gossan zone at depth.  The hole was collared closer to the fault than SLV042 and crossed the fault at 10 meters depth.  Below the fault, mineralization is typical of the Main Gossan zone with up to 20% sulfides including pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena.  Mineralization and alteration continues to 71 meters, where the drill hole crosses the low-angle fault cutting mineralization.  Below the fault, the hole encountered greywacke.

SLV042
Results announced November 25, 2015

SLV042 was collared in the Gossan Extension drilled at azimuth 250° and inclination of -65° to a depth of 84.15 meters.  The hole was designed to cross the high-angle fault and enter the Main Gossan zone at depth, verifying mineralization in both blocks and further define the high-angle structure.  The hole was collared in highly gossanous cobble conglomerate and cut minor zones with up to 70% sulfide down to 8 meters.  Between 8 meters and 52 meters mineralization is limited to minor sulfide veins.  Strong mineralization returns at 52 meters and continues to 71 meters, where the fault crosses the low angle structure.  The hole ends in calcareous sandstone and pebble conglomerate, revealing that there is a lithologic contact between the calcareous and non-calcareous rocks in the footwall.  This is an important point, since it suggests that the low-angle fault has less than 100 meters of offset.

SLV041

SLV041 was collared at the transition of the Main Gossan and the Gossan Extension, drilled at azimuth 235° and inclination of -45° to a depth of 20.8 meters.  The hole was designed to cross the high-angle structure and enter the eastern margin of the Main Gossan.  The hole entered the high-angle structure, and all water circulation was lost.  The driller attempted to maintain circulation and advance the hole, but was unable to accomplish this.  SLV041 was terminated at 20.8 meters, but contained mineralization associated with the hangingwall and footwall lithologies cut by the high-angle structure.

SLV040

SLV040 was collared in the Gossan Extension, drilled at azimuth 235° and inclination of -45° to a depth of 92.2 meters.  It had been initially designed to drill into the eastern edge of the soil anomaly identified in the July soil program.  The hole was collared in un-altered pebble conglomerate with a calcareous matrix.  The hole crossed unaltered pebble and cobble conglomerate to the final depth and did not cross mineralization or alteration.  Although this hole was not a success, it does help to define non-mineralized zones within the Peshter blocks.

SLV039
Results announced November 25, 2015

SLV039 was collared in sandstone in the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and minor grey siltstone.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 235°, with an inclination of -45°, and was designed to drill back towards SLV030.  Base metal mineralization and alteration are moderate to strong down to 41.50 meters, with silicification, dolomitization and open spaces present.  Sulfides range to 15% with pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, galena, sphalerite, and black sulfides.  The hole crossed the basal structure at 41.50 meters, with weakly to non-mineralized sandstone and greywacke present below the fault.

SLV038 was collared in sandstone in the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and minor grey siltstone.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 235°, with an inclination of -45°, and was designed to drill back towards SLV030 and SLV011.  Mineralization and alteration are moderate to strong down to 57.80 meters, with silicification, dolomitization and open spaces present.  Sulfides range up to 15% of core content, and include pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, galena, sphalerite, and black sulfides.  The hole crossed the basal structure at 57.80 meters, with trace disseminated sulfides present in the underlying greywacke.

SLV035 was collared in pebble conglomerate in the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and minor grey siltstone.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 235° and inclination of -45°, and was designed to drill back towards SLV027.  Mineralization and alteration are moderate to strong, with silicification, dolomitization and open spaces present.  Mineralization includes semi-massive sulfides with pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, and black sulfides.  The hole cut the basal fault at 62.50 meters, with minor mineralization present below the fault.

SLV034

SLV034 was collared in sandstone in the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and grey siltstones.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 235° and inclination of -45°, and was designed to drill back towards SLV027.  From 0 to 36.00 meters, the hole cut semi-massive sulfides up to 15% of the rock content, with pyrite, chalcopyrite, and arsenopyrite present.  The hole appears to have crossed the basal fault at 36.00 meters, with low sulfide content below the structure to 64.00 meters.

SLV033 was collared in pebble conglomerate in the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and grey siltstone.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 260° and inclination of -45°, and was designed to drill back towards SLV027.  Mineralization and alteration are moderate to strong with silicification, dolomitization and open spaces present.  Mineralization ranges up to 20% sulfides with pyrite, chalcopyrite, and black sulfides.  The hole crosses the basal fault at 53.25, meters with un-mineralized pebble conglomerate in place below the structure.

SLV032 was collared in pebble conglomerate in the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and minor grey siltstone.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 055° and inclination of -40° from the same pad as SLV031, drilling away from the SLV004 collar.  Mineralization and alteration are moderate to strong with silicification, dolomitization, and open spaces present.  Mineralization ranges up to 20% with pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, and black sulfides.  The hole cuts the basal structure at 76.40 meters, with coarse cobble conglomerate and trace disseminated sulfides in the underlying plate.

SLV030 was collared in sandstone at the south edge of the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and minor grey siltstone.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 235° and inclination of -45°, and was designed to drill back towards SLV011.  Mineralization and alteration are moderate with silicification and dolomitization.  Mineralization ranges to 15% sulfides from 11 to 28 meters with pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, and galena.  Below 28 meters, mineralization content is less than 3%, mainly disseminated.  The hole appears to have crossed the basal fault at 28.35 meters. 

SLV029

SLV029 was collared in pebble conglomerate in the Main Gossan zone, and cuts sandstone, pebble conglomerate, and minor grey siltstones.  The hole was drilled at azimuth 100° and inclination of -50°, and was designed to parallel SLV028.  Mineralization and alteration are strong with silicification, dolomitization, and open spaces present.  Mineralization ranges up to 15% with pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, and galena.  Mineralization terminates at 85.90 meters at the basal fault plane, with only trace sulfides in the underlying sandstone and grey siltstone.
